No Burritos, No Garlic

As the manager of Frida Bistro, I am writing to thank you for your gracious nod to us but also to urge you to get at least some facts straight if you are going to give an award.

Frida Bistro is a bistro, which is also another word for restaurant. We used to be a deli/market, so bistro-cum-restaurant makes no sense.

Frida Bistro does not and never has had a burrito on its menu. This is the type of mistake that can lose us guests when they come in asking for something we have never carried nor ever will. Our mashed potatoes have never had garlic in them. They are chipotle-mashed potatoes. If you are going to recognize us, then at least recognize us for what we are and what we serve instead of perpetuating the stereotype of Mexican food that we are trying to step away from.
