I grew up in South Central LA. I fought blacks on the way to school because they thought I was Mexican and fought Mexicans because they knew I wasnt. Now I'm married to a Mexican American chick whom I love and my best friend is black. I thank my Salvadoran parents for never teaching me to dislike as a whole and to judge individuals by their character. By the way, my wife's male family members dislike me. But for some reason the females flock my way when we visit. Unspoken tension in the air. I over hear the insults from a distance. Very uncomfortable and odd most times. Maybe it's because I have a six pack and not a bud light gut.....oooohhh.lol. Much love to all the cool Mexicans that appreciate "different" as I do.
