Maryann Johanson’s list of the “very best”, though not necessarily sexy, vampire movies [“Met by Moonlight,” Feb. 5, City Weekly] contained a frightful omission: French actor Louis Jourdin’s performance in the 1977 BBC mini-series Count Dracula (now available on DVD) was terrifying, sophisticated and supremely sexy. Thirty-plus years later, I still get squishy recalling his elucidation of the original meaning of the kiss.
