Must Ducks Die?

ABC 4 News did a very brief story that showed dead ducks in Sugar House Park’s pond. To this day, no one’s concerned, yet everyone sure saved Fourth of July fireworks from dying.

If the pond were drained and 4 to 6 feet of mud were removed, the water could circulate and these innocent birds would be spared their terrible deaths.

Chevron oil is not responsible, but in an act of good faith, they certainly have the resources to accomplish this.

Twenty-five million dollars is being spent by the Redevelopment Agency up the street on the Sugar Hole project. Why not bring their backhoe a few blocks east, while the weather permits, and care a little about saving a life rather than a dollar?
