Sundance is always good for some eye-opening documentaries, and The Ambassador certainly fits the bill. This is gonzo filmmaking/journalism courtesy of the Danish director Brugger, who poses as a rich white diplomat to infiltrate the blood diamond trade in Africa, and the corrupt governments in both Europe and Africa that perpetuate the practice. It's heavy subject matter, but Brugger delivers it with a comedic touch, showing how absurd the upper classes and their bought-and-paid-for officials act when no one is watching, thanks to his hidden camera.
