Get High!
The ribbon-cutting at Park City’s new High West Distillery & Saloon took place Nov. 20. Billed as “the world’s only ski-in gastro-distillery,” High West features the epicurean cuisine of executive chef James Dumas along with selected wine, beer, spirits and, of course, High West Distillery whiskey and vodka. High West also just launched a new whiskey called Bourye, which made its public debut at WhiskeyFest in New York City.

You might wonder about the jackalope featured on bottles of Bourye. According to High West Distillery founder David Perkins, “Because the combination of bourbon and rye is a bit unusual, we couldn’t help thinking of the jackalope, a mythical creature native to the American West that is a combination rabbit and antelope. So we decided on the name Bourye, ‘Bou’ from bourbon, and to feature the antlered rabbit as the model on the label.” High West Distillery & Saloon is located in Park City at 703 Park Ave.

Edgar’s Lounge
The Snow Park Lounge in Deer Valley’s Snow Park Lodge has been renamed in honor of Deer Valley Resort founder Edgar B. Stern, who passed away this past year. It’s now Edgar’s Beers and Spirits Lounge (EBS Lounge). Deer Valley Resort and EBS Lounge open on Dec. 5.
