I ride a motorcycle during the summer. I have noticed that on two-lane roads, if there is an oncoming bicycle rider, the oncoming traffic has no problem crossing the double yellow line to provide the bicyclist the three-foot distance while almost running me off the road [“Bicycle Friendly(er),” June 14, City Weekly].
I thought the rule of never crossing the double yellow was on the books way before the three-foot rule.
