Michelangelo Ristorante is known for its authentic Italian cuisine, and now downtown dwellers can enjoy the delicious menu, too. The outdoor sidewalk seating is a very pleasant place to enjoy the Salt Lake City downtown scene, an appetizer with good company or a full-on meal. To start out, try the
carpaccio di carne—thinly sliced filet mignon served with arugula and Parmesan—or the prosciutto and melon plate. For your main course, be sure to try the restaurant's rigatoni with sausage, which is served with caramelized onions and roasted peppers in a fresh, white-wine herb pomodoro sauce. Or, if you’re craving wood-fired pizza instead, try the pie with slow-roasted tomato, roasted garlic, balsamic vinegar and fresh mozzarella. If you have room, order the tiramisu for dessert, and just be sure not to think about your caloric intake as you’re enjoying those ladyfingers and mascarpone cheese.
