Cheesy Sammich
I have to admit, this sure seems like a can’t-miss restaurant concept. After all, who doesn’t love a gooey, grilled cheese sandwich? That’s the thinking behind the cleverly named Melty Way (1036 Fort Union Blvd., Midvale, 801-566-5056), the creation of “executive chef by day and restless foodie by night” Rob Hale, who hails from Park City. Melty Way is a grilled cheese, soups and sweets shop, which had its inception at the Park Silly Market, where Hale first unleashed his cheesy creations. Melty Way sandwich prices range from $3.99 for an aged-cheddar grilled cheese sandwich to $5.99 for a Reuben with Gruyère, Swiss, corned beef, sauerkraut and “melty sauce” on rye. There’s also a kids grilled cheese made with American cheese ($1.99) and a grilled PB&J ($2.99). And, of course, there is tomato soup available, and ice cream sandwiches for dessert. Melty Way also offers gluten-free bread from Udi’s. For more information, visit MeltyWay.com.

Siena Fest
Remember the seasonal Festival di Siena at the old Baci Trattoria? Well, the folks at the New Yorker are bringing it back. The festival di Siena is an homage to the food festivals held after sporting events in Siena, Italy—in particular, the famous horse race that circles the Piazza del Campo. For the summer season, the New Yorker will offer an Italian dinner menu that includes gnocchi al Gorgonzola; spaghettini with whole, fresh Maine lobster; swordfish steak-baked with tomatoes, capers and sweet peppers; tournedos Rossini; grilled taggliata di Manzo (New York steak strips with forest-mushroom demi-glaze and Chianti reduction) and more. Visit GINC.com/NewYorker for more information.

Truckin’

The event will take place in the Trolley Square South Parking lot (665 E. 600 South) and is free and open to the public. For more information, visit WellerBookWorks.com.
