Remember back in the day when you would do the Tootsie Roll at first mention of a pizza party? Oh, yes you do, and for most of us this enthusiasm hasn’t wavered with age. Hell, I do a little secret fist pump whenever I’m in the same room as pizza. That being said, every Saturday, Maxwell’s East Coast Eatery (357 S. Main) goes from a great place to eat to a full-blown club, combining its famous New York-style pies with $3 PBRs, $8 Maxaritas and tunes from DJ Godina. The result is a dance floor packed with college kids, cougars and pizza … pizza everywhere. Now, Maxwell’s doesn’t actually bill this night as a pizza party, but I really believe they should just call it what it is. (Photos are from Cinco de Mayo)
