For what uses other than medical should marijuana be legalized?
Rachel Scott: I think marijuana should be legalized, taxed and regulated like cigarettes and alcohol are in this country. Maybe then we could eliminate our enormous deficit!
Dan Nailen: Any and all uses. According Cypress Hill’s Black Sunday album, God said He put the plants and herbs on Earth for us to use. Who am I to argue with B-Real and Sen Dog?
John Paul Brophy: To eliminate the criminal element now involved in every facet.
Julie Erickson: Food, clothes, energy, paper, medicine, fuel that doesn’t harm the environment, soap, furniture, rope, plastic, etc. Cannabis is the most useful and versatile plant on Earth. Shame on us for making it illegal in the first place.
Jaclyn Briggs: As a baking ingredient
Ted Scheffler: Weed should be legalized and administered to anyone forced to listen to Lady Gaga.
Ben Rosch: I know this may be controversial, but tax it—that money (which could be tons) can go toward health care, schools, streets and so much more. Then potheads will be contributing to society ... everyone wins! Yay!
Jesse Fruhwirth: Utah is already funding schools by taxing one stigmatized product: tobacco. Why not cannabis?
Marty Foy: My own financial motivations. Coming soon to strip mall near you: Mr. Marty’s Medical Marijuana Megastore.
