In contrast to the plethora of cheap, made-over Christmas music, Mannheim Steamroller produces New Age-y, classical-meets-rock-and-jazz contemporary holiday music that’s actually appealing and enjoyable. For many, their upbeat, synthesized, percussive music has become a Christmas staple.

Mannheim Steamroller produced its first album in 1984, so this year—drumroll—they’re pulling out all of the stops to celebrate their 25th anniversary. This year’s event will feature Mannheim Steamroller’s best-loved Christmas music complemented by cutting-edge, synchronized multimedia effects, including coordinated lighting and imagery.

The original mastermind of Mannheim Steamroller, Chip Davis, created and produced this year’s show and handpicked the musicians— promising a top-rate experience of what Davis calls “18th-century rock-n-roll.” Merging old school with hip, Mannheim Steamroller has rolled into our Christmas music collection, becoming a thoroughly modern holiday pastime.
