Put the W in Whompsgiving: W Lounge
The best modern dance club in the city, W Lounge (358 S. West Temple) is celebrating Thanksgiving night right with some glitch-hop, dubstep and drumstep to celebrate “Whompsgiving,” featuring Nick Bliss, Drink, MorZFeen and Lunatic. Make sure you don’t eat too much turkey at dinner—nobody needs a tryptophan coma while dancing. No cover, and the party starts at 9 p.m.
Piper Down: Down The Hatch
We frequently write about Piper Down’s weeknight action because it’s so damned varied and fun, but we’ve forgotten to remind you of the food. It’s a pub, and like most in the UK, Piper Down (1492 S. State) serves traditional pub fare. We recently stopped in to nosh on some shepherd’s pie and enjoyed another UK specialty, the pub quiz, courtesy of the Geeks Who Drink.
B-days & Anniversaries: Harry O’s Turns 5!
Join Vaughn Carrick on his b-day, and for the fifth anniversary of Harry O’s (427 Main in Park City), on Saturday, Nov. 27—two of the best things to happen to club life in Utah in the past few years. These guys know how to blow up Park City, and they’re doing it again with DJ Homicide.
Hot Shots from Piper Down:
1. Tim Golden, Leah Schuster, WIll Truman
2. Server Theresa Wong
3. Trenton Judson, Jenny Gatrell
