Rick Longoria is a name most wine lovers know. As winemaker and founder (with his wife Diana) of Longoria Wines, he's been making artisanal, small-batch wines in Santa Barbara County under his own label since 1982, although Rick has been involved in the wine industry since 1976.
Rick states that "From the very beginning of my career I felt that the Santa Barbara wine region had the potential to produce world class wines and it's been very gratifying to see that belief realized over the more than 30 years I've been here. It's also been very rewarding to have had the good fortune over the years to have some of my wines contribute to the acclaim of our wine region."
Longoria produces a range of white, red and Rosé wines and five of them will be featured at a Longoria Wine Dinner on Wednesday, March 25th, at BTG Wine Bar.
The wines being poured will be:
Clover Creek Vineyard Albariño
"Lovely Rita" Pinot Noir
"Fe Ciega" Pinot Noir
Santa Ynez Valley Tempranillo
"Blues Cuvée" Red Blend
The dinner begins at 7:00 PM with food pairings provided by chef/owner Fred Moesinger. The evening will be hosted by BTG sommelier Lous Koppel.
The cost per person for four food courses and five wines is $30/food; $30/wine.
Be sure to call BTG at 801-359-2814 to reserve your spot.
