Tom Dickson has achieved YouTube.com celebrity as the man who can—and will—cheerfully purée just about anything.

As owner/CEO of Orem-based Blendtec, the affable Dickson promotes his company’s line of high-powered blenders in a series of short videos titled Will It Blend? Each episode begins with Dickson contemplating some everyday object—a garden hose, a can of spray cheese, a camcorder—and wondering, impossibly, “Will it blend?” The rest, accompanied by a bouncy horn section, is Internet history.

Dickson’s latest discovery—that an Apple iPhone does, indeed, blend—provoked outrage among technophiles from as far away as New Zealand. (The $700 gadgets are rare and highly coveted this summer.)

Still, if you want to get your hands on an iPhone, here’s your chance. Dickson is auctioning the phone—pulverized into a fine, black powder—on eBay, accompanied by a $400 blender, a DVD and an autographed “Tom Dickson is my homeboy” T-shirt.

The auction remains open until the afternoon of July 20. As of press time, bidding had reached $1,126. (WillItBlend.com)
