The only acceptable variation is the addition of salami as that is the way the Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City serves them and they famously claim "the original Cuban" and are indeed the oldest restaurant in Florida. I've only been once but it was memorable...and delicious. I have yet to try the Cuban restaurant in Sandy but now I'm inspired.
Looks fantastic. Wish the local BBQ joints could come up with something remotely similar.
Beautiful. I love this recipe and have a similar one where I stuff the cavity with lemon wedges. I also brown the bird on all sides before dumping in the chopped veggies and herbs. Finally, I discard the lemon, bay leaf and rosemary but eat the veggies!
I love lists like this! Good to see old favorites make the grade - Grove Market, Caputo's - but it looks like our former local Earls - Siegfried and Moochie - have been replaced by Feldman and Vito respectively. My current favorite sandwich is Feldman's Sloppy Joe closely followed by Oh Mai's ribeye.
Delicious.
I wish you would not have admitted to frequently bringing wines to restaurants Ted. The majority of people who BYOB are embarrassingly cheap and now they're going to say "Scheffler does it!" By the way, most BYOB types also order well done steaks.
Re: “Monday Meal: Rockin' Ramen”
Simple and delicious.
