You’d love to turn your yard into a home for beautiful flowers and abundant vegetables, but a spring like this one, with its constantly fluctuating weather conditions, is enough to intimidate any amateur. When do you begin? How do you begin? And how do you turn that black thumb green?

Utah native Joy Bossi regularly helps Wasatch Front residents with just such dilemmas on KRNS 105.7 every Saturday morning on Joy in the Garden. Now, she has collected much of her horticultural wisdom in the new book Joy in Your Garden: A Seasonal Guide to Gardening, co-authored with Karen Bastow. Bossi and Bastow guide would-be home gardeners through what to do at every turning of the year. Join Bossi for a discussion and signing event for the book, complete with back-patio gardening demonstration.
