Blues Brunch @ Sundance Wanna mingle with the beautiful people at Sundance Film Festival, but you didn’t get invited to any parties or exclusive dinners? Fear not. You can hang with the Sundance crowd and “taste the sounds of the culinary rocker Johnny Ciao” for brunch at the House of Blues Foundation Room on Friday, Jan. 28 and Saturday, Jan. 29. The HOB Foundation Room has taken over the Star Bar during Sundance in Park City, at 268 Main. Ciao, who has cooked with and for everyone from the Grateful Dead to Marlon Brando to Michael Jackson, will host his Famous Blues Buffet Brunch from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., featuring his Euro-California style cuisine. Ciao’s signature dishes include Bluesy Burritos, Willie Nelson Texas Stew and Truffle Chicken Spedini. During the buffet, Johnny Ciao plans to meet and greet guests and jam with guest musicians. This should be fun. Ciao is nothing if not energetic and entertaining. I don’t think he knows what “decaf” means. Tickets are $60 per person and can be purchased at JohnnyCiao.com/products.

Local vendors in attendance will include Mountain Valley Seed Company, Kenyon Organics, Late Bloomin’ Heirlooms, Paul Ames Utah Native Seeds and more. Light refreshments—soups, bread and drinks—will be provided. For more information and to learn how the Seed Swap works, go to SLCPeoplesMarket.org.
