Faustina Beer Brunch
St. Patrick’s Day is about nothing if not beer, right? Well, on St. Paddy’s Day weekend—Saturday, March 16—Faustina (454 E. Broadway, FaustinaSLC.com) will team up with Epic Brewing Company’s brewmaster Kevin Crompton to host a brunch featuring Epic brews and Executive Chef Billy Sotelo’s special St. Patrick’s brunch menu, from noon to 2 p.m. Menu items and pairings include house-smoked maple salmon with Epic Brainless Raspberries; perogies with spinach, onion and cheddar cream sauce plus Epic Intermountain Wheat Beer; and short-rib hash with peppers, onions, Gruyère, sunny-side eggs and a grilled baguette paired with Epic Barley Wine. For dessert, there will be steel-cut Irish-oat brulee with dried berry & oat granola clusters and Epic Santa Cruz Brown Ale. The four-course menu is $20 for brunch per person, and $20 for the optional beer pairings. Reservations are required (21 and over) and can be made by calling 801-746-4441.

Wine, Seafood, Bullets & Belles
On Saturday, March 16, from 6 to 9 p.m., The Sun & Moon Cafe (6281 Emigration Canyon) will host a French wine tasting featuring three French white wines, small-bites seafood pairings and live music from Bullets & Belles, Salt Lake City’s neo-doo-wop-folk trio. The cost for the (optional) three French wines is $15, and $20 for the seafood pairings. Customers can also order from the regular Sun & Moon Cafe menu.
