If Thomas Crawford wants to cast aspersions [“Sharp Criticism,” Letters, Dec. 24, City Weekly], he should at least get his facts straight. When, as Crawford states, Bill Frost wrote [“The Gift of Survival,” Nov. 19] “If the tone registers sharp, move the bridge saddle back. … If sharp, move saddle forward … ,” one of the sharps was obviously a simple typographical error for flat, not a statement of incompetency.
As for B# and E#, they are well-recognized notes in the C# Major scale. Ask any music teacher, or check a harmony manual.
