Guadalupe Schools
Ongoing
The Guadalupe Schools provide economically disadvantaged Utah communities with free English classes. Many of the volunteer teachers are students who have to go back to school themselves in the fall. That’s why the schools are often in need of fall tutors who can commit to a regular schedule with the Adult Education program. If you can commit two to four hours a week, you can make a serious difference.

University of Utah Muslim Student Association Fast-a-thon
Friday, Sept. 3
The U’s Muslim Student Association is calling on everyone, regardless of their religion, to go without food for 24 hours in solidarity with the victims of the devastating flood in Pakistan. Turning in completed pledge forms with $10 will help victims of the flood. Fast for 24 hours before the event and then break the fast and enjoy a well-earned meal—good for the belly and good for the conscience. If you arrive late, you can still buy $10 tickets at the door.
