I just read Carolyn Campbell’s masterful article about Amy Freeman and the Utah stripping scene [“Taking It Off,” Nov. 8, City Weekly]. All I can say is Campbell is a fine writer—such a tricky subject. And such a perfect character she selected to profile.
The deftness with which she openly writes about loaded content was truly compassionate. And she held my attention through a story with a lovely surprise ending, revealing a subculture about which I would have been only mildly interested, if at all.
Thanks for her insight and talent.
