Friends With Benefits
Two NYC pals (Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis)decide to have a strictly sexual relationship with no “feelings,” because romantic comedies are for suckers. Does it eventually turn into a romantic comedy? Of course, sucker. (Screen Gems; Dec. 2)

Cowboys & Aliens
A cowboy (Daniel Craig) wakes up in the desert with no memory and a mysterious bracelet on his arm, then wanders into a town that’s attacked by aliens and, even more implausible, has a 98-pound female
gunslinger (Olivia Wilde). (Universal)

The Hangover Part II
Exactly like The Hangover I, just with less Mike Tyson and more free-flying dicks that have been deemed acceptable by Utah morality laws for all-age theaters but unacceptable for 21-plus theaters serving booze. (Warner Bros.)

The Smurfs
The Smurfs have been taken out of their village and dumped into NYC’s Central Park by an evil wizard, and now forced into a strictly sexual relationship with Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis in a fun CGI romp for the whole family. (Sony; Dec. 2)

Archie’s Final Project
A teen film student (Gabriel Sunday) announces that his final class project will be filming his own suicide; ham-fisted media criticism, inevitable Catcher In the Rye references and (probably) his own MTV reality series ensue. (Arc)
