On this Sabbath, Slow Food Utah hosts its Feast of Five Senses, an exceptional gathering of local food & drink artisans and chefs, who come together to cook, feed and raise funds for Slow Foods’ micro grants program, supporting projects such as the development of schoolyard gardens.
Among the feast makers are Lugano’s Greg Neville, Dave Jones of Log Haven, Ali Sabbah from Mazza, Tipica’s Adam Kreisel and Les Madeleines’ Romina Rasmussen. Tempting menu items are set to include Wight Family Farm turkey leg confit; braised lamb with Middle Eastern spices and fava bean stew; organic chicken coccione; cauliflower and Cavallo Nero “flan” with Beehive Barely Buzzed Cheddar; and kouing aman. The cost is $100 per person and $25 for optional wine pairings.
