SLC Ballet Children’s Academy’srelocated facility is intended to provide greater space to adjust to the increasing student population, as well as the new classes that will be offered. Also, the new location of the Academy will be a more convenient location for many students, at 1164 South Main Street in Salt Lake City (roughly two blocks from Trax and four blocks from the 1300 South freeway exit (I-15). The building boasts a new dance floor in two studios, kitchen, dressing room, costuming room, lobby, and plenty of free parking. The open house will take place from 7-9p.m.

The SLC Ballet Academy serves all ages and abilities by specializing in quality professional dance instruction. Influenced by the Vaganova Technique, the curriculum has progressed such world-class dancers as George Balanchine, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Rudolf Nuryev. The year round school, taught by professional instructors, is also home to a successful adult dance instruction program as well as the Children’s Art Academy.
The rededicated location’s classes will resume August 29, 2011.
