After going dark for much of the summer, The Depot makes a fall comeback with one of the most aggressive shows its ever hosted, courtesy of metal supergroup Down. The band led by former Pantera singer Phil Anselmo hasn’t put out any new music since 2007, and has broken up and reformed twice since originally forming 20 years ago in New Orleans. With only three albums released in those 20 years, they clearly work on a Tool-like pace in Down. And like that band, you can bet there will be a club full of fans who have been patiently waiting for their return. In Solitude and Pony Killer open the show. The Depot, 400 W. South Temple, 8 p.m., $25 advance/$28 day of show
