Utah Symphony: The Music of Queen

“We will, we will, rock you ...” with a full-size orchestra! Everybody knows the lyrics and melody to at least one Queen song, even if it’s only “And another one gone, and another one gone, another one bites the dust!” The tunes are universal enough to be adapted to any situation. The music of Freddie Mercury and friends will be played Saturday night by the rock band Windborne Music, wrapped within the majestic sounds of the Utah Symphony.

The show marks the final concert of the season for the 2011 Deer Valley Music Festival. The setting alone makes the fest worth attending, since concert-goers get to sit on a gently sloping mountain on a cool summer evening and gaze down upon the musicians while eating a picnic prepared at home or purchased at the event. Grab a blanket and picnic basket and get ready to let everyone know, “We are the champions, my friends!” (Geoff Griffin)
