You wouldn’t necessarily view the downtrodden confines of Flint, Michigan, as a hotbed of country music, but when you think about it, the crappy economy and need for some entertaining diversion is an ideal breeding ground for the old-school outlaw honky-tonk delivered by Whitey Morgan and the 78’s. Think old Waylon and Willie, or Johnny Paycheck, and you’re on the right track; this is a rough-and-tumble band of tattooed biker boys who paid their dues in some tough bars in their hometown.
