It’s hard to think of a more daunting career choice for Rosanne Cash to make than deciding to follow her father Johnny into the music biz. Unlike so many offspring of the rich and famous (hello, Lisa Marie Presley), Cash proved to be a significant artist in her own right, as both a performer and writer. A recently released double-album of “essential” Rosanne Cash was released a couple months back and includes songs spanning 32 years. Some of the best are from her most recent studio album, The List, a collection of country, folk and bluegrass standards culled from a note Johnny’s favorite songs that he left the 18-year-old Rosanne when she was just an aspiring songwriter. The List was one of the best albums of 2009, and you can expect to hear several of those songs at this show. Deer Valley Amphitheater, 2270 Deer Valley Drive East, 7 p.m., $35 lawn seating
