Texas troubadour Alejandro Escovedo is stilling touring in support of his excellent 2010 album Street Songs of Love, a raw, rocking collection of songs based around characters in Escovedo’s South Austin stomping grounds. For most artists, Street Songs would be a career-defining achievement, but for Escovedo, it’s simply the continuation of a songwriting hot streak that stretches back at least a decade and includes albums like Real Animal, A Man Under the Influence and The Boxing Mirror.
