An NYU grad who switched from performing arts to television and producing, Jones worked for several television shows before interning at The Daily Show in 2008 and was quickly picked up by the show after receiving her degree. Her time behind the scenes interacting with the incredibly talented pool of writers and correspondents such as Aasif Mandvi and Samantha Bee forced her to scratch her old performing itch from high school and college. Jones thrust herself into the New York City comedy-club circuit to perform her own brand of clean comedy to some of the hardest audiences in the country..
While Jones’ humor may be on the cleaner, more “PG-rated” side of the spectrum, it doesn’t stop her from taking shots at the ridiculous nature of pop-culture obsessions and bizarre celebrity encounters. Jones is one of the few comedians who can lay claim to having an all-ages set—something that’s sure to help bring a sell-out crowd when she returns home for her two-night takeover at Trolley.
