We all know at this point that there’s a lot of great music generated in Provo. But if you’re like me, it can be tough to rally south from SLC. Consider the Rooftop Concert Series a damn good reason to make the trip. Now in its second year, the series takes over a downtown Provo parking terrace and turns it into a concert venue with the stunning Wasatch as the backdrop behind the stage, and killer views west for the sunset. I was there for the Fictionist show that drew thousands, and it was a great scene. For the July show, a group of fine musicians—including Stuart Maxfield of Fictionist, Brinton Jones of The Devil Whale, Paul Jacobsen, Ryan Tanner, Sayde Price and more—is running through The Beatles’ Abbey Road. It should be at treat. Visit RooftopConcertSeries.com for the full summer schedule. Provo Town Square Parking Terrace, 100 N. 100 West, Provo, 8 p.m., free
