When Steel Pulse first came together in England in 1975, the Rastafarian revolutionaries had a hard time finding places that would let them play concerts. Thankfully, the punk scene was about to explode, vastly expanding the musical possibilities in Britain, and Steel Pulse tood full advantage. Their 1978 debut, Handsworth Revolution, is considered a British reggae classic, and they broke through in America a few years later with albums like True Democracy and Earth Crisis. There are only two original members left, but they carry the roots-reggae torch to this day. Sober Down opens the show. Thursday 6.16 @ The Depot, 400 W. South Temple, 9 p.m., $25 advance/$30 day of show
