The Greenhornes

Hard to believe it’s been more than eight years since the last Greenhornes album. That can happen, though, when Jack White recruits two-thirds of a band help work on a Loretta Lynn album, then likes the sound so much he decides to create a brand new band (in this case, using Greenhornes Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler in The Raconteurs). Now those two have reformed their original band with singer Craig Fox and come up with a fourth album that is fine addition to their catalog of straightforward, bluesy rock & roll. The cleverly titled **** is a bombastic collection that recalls Greenhornes influences like The Kinks on songs like the super-poppy first song, “Saying Goodbye” and “Underestimator.” JEFF The Brotherhood and Starmy open the show.
