The Take Action Tour has been something easy to get behind ever since its inception in 1999, when Hopeless Records came up with the idea to put a bunch of bands on the road together along with representatives of their favorite respective charities, to give music fans access to a little education along with their rock ‘n’ roll. In the years since, more than 50 non-profits, dealing with everything from teen suicide prevention, depression and volunteerism, have garnered more than $2 million from the tours. This year’s beneficiary is Sex, Etc., a teen-to-teen sexuality education project, and the bands involved include Silverstein, Bayside, Polar Bear Club, The Swellers and Texas in July.
