BYU’s Museum of Art will present a new exhibition of contemporary art exploring the nature of language and its effect on our lives. The 46-work exhibition by 3 contemporary artists express and and transcend the medium of the printed word. The exhibit is free and open to the public. “In an age of electronic media where the printed word is rapidly being dematerialized as a result of digital forms, ‘the matter of words’ may soon become an outmoded concept,” exhibit curator Jeff Lambson said. “The Matter of Words” celebrates the printed page, language, art and their influence on our lives.
