A Legacy of Service: Women in the Law with Utah Supreme Court Chief Justice Christine Meaders Durham

Celebrate the contributions of women in American law with this special event for Women's History Month. Chief Justice Christine Meaders Durham will speak about women's role in the legal system and her personal journey to become the Chief Justice of the Utah Supreme Court. Among her many recognitions, Durham received the 2007 Rehnquist Award for Judicial Excellence and the 2008 Transparent Courthouse Award for contributions to judicial accountability and administration from the Institute for the Advancement of the Legal System at the University of Denver. In 2003, Durham made history when she was the first female Chief Justice to swear into office a female governor, Olene Walker.
