Based in western Michigan, Greensky Bluegrass probably doesn’t see a lot of home, given that the rather rocking bluegrass crew plays about 160 shows a year. While the quintet deals in traditional bluegrass instrumentation—dobro, fiddle, mandolin, standup bass, guitar—they are no slaves to a traditional sound, delving into psychedelia, rock and folk while they burn up the nation’s highways.
