Philly indie-rockers The War on Drugs started as a joint project of Adam Granduciel and Kurt Vile back in 2005, and it’s evolved since, via many lineup shifts, into a band that’s led by Granduciel and equally influenced by the sonic experimentation of groups like My Bloody Valentine and the straightforward rock of Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty.
