Any old hip-hop fans can tell you that when it comes to pioneering crew Cypress Hill, producer DJ Muggs’ creative ways with samples and mixing were just as vital to the group’s urban-warfare soundscape as Sen Dog’s booming low voice or B-Real’s nasal whine. When he’s not touring with the long-running crew, Muggs expands his sonic palette for solo gigs like this one, where bombastic beats will surely be the order of the day. Saturday 3.12 @ Teazer’s, 366 36th St., Ogden, 8 p.m., $5
