Barrington Levy’s been making noise in the reggae and dancehall scenes since he was a teenager in Jamaica; he released his first solo single, “A Long Time Since We Don’t Have No Love,” when he was just 14. While that song didn’t exactly storm the charts, he soon was producing multiple hits with the Roots Radics production crew, including “Looking My Love,” “Englishman” and “Collie Weed.” Since those ‘70s hits, Levy’s continued recording and touring, particularly in his home country and England. America never quite latched onto Levy in the same way, but that’s not keeping him from touring the states, including this stop in SLC. Natural Roots open the show.
