Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra

If you’ve ever heard trumpet master Wynton Marsalis play in person, then you obviously don’t need anyone to tell you how worthwhile the experience is, whether you’re a jazzbo or not. But if you need a reason to see him this time around, consider that the show is part of a tour in support of the new Vitoria Suite album, a Marselis-penned project that uses the blues as a basis for exploring the music of two cultures: the jazz and blues of North America and the indigenous music of the Basque region of Spain. You couldn’t ask for a better teacher. Monday 2.7 @ Kingsbury Hall, 1395 President’s Circle, 7:30 p.m., $34.50-$59.50
