D.R.I., or Dirty Rotten Imbeciles if you prefer, never really hit huge in the punk or metal scenes, but their blend of the musical styles into thrashing good fun made them pioneers in the ‘80s alongside bands like Corrosion of Conformity and Suicidal Tendencies. Their 1987 album Crossover was a testament to the fact their sound was rooted in both genres, and it was re-released earlier this year; hence the current tour stopping in Salt Lake City. Evile, Gama Bomb, Life Has a Way and Desolate open. Saturday, 12.18 @ Club Vegas, 445 W. 400 South, 7 p.m., $15 advance/$20 day of show
