The arrival of spring is a time to celebrate. No one takes that to heart more than the Utah Krishnas, and with gusto. The annual Holi Festival of Colors, hosted by the Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork, rejoices in the triumph of good over evil and marks the arrival of spring and new beginnings. People gather together and cover one another with vibrant colors of pink, yellow, green and orange. The celebration continues with live music, bonfires, yoga, dance and %u2028fabulous food.
The Festival of Colors will take place rain or shine, and color-throwings happen every two hours. The experience illustrates a feeling of oneness among strangers, while the colors breathe life back into our minds, erasing the doldrums of winter. (Aimee Cook O’Brien)
