Nurses at War: Comparison of Wartime Experiences

The Nurses at War Project is administered by Nurse Practitioner and Commander Navy Nurse Corps Retired Patricia Rushton, Ph.D., with the purpose of recording, archiving and sharing the experiences of nurses who have served during a war. Specifically, the lecture will focus on comparing the wartime experiences of nurses from Utah and the British Isles. The project is intended to help others understand the role of nurses—with a focus on military aspects—in the service of their profession and their country. Attendees with personal experiences during wartime interacting with the nursing profession are encouraged to share their stories.

The panel will take place in rooms 101-102 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. For more information contact the Utah Cultural Celebration Center at 801-965-5100 or visit www.culturalcelebration.org .
