Earning its name from the theatrical stage direction referring to sounds made offstage, “Noises Off” is based on the premise that the best way to witness a farce is from behind the scenes. In this show within a show, a cast of itinerant actors rehearses a flop called “Nothing’s On” while turning set design on its head.
