Young Dubliners, Swagger

If you are looking for the St. Paddy’s Day concert, your search ends here. Yes, there are Irish bands, inappropriately worn kilts, green beer and Guinness a-plenty at bars and clubs around town this weekend—and we totally support such fine evenings of celebration—but no band brings it like the Young Dubliners, with their modern-rock meets traditional Irish tunes. The five-piece stops in Utah frequently,%u2028but never so close to this most-sacred day of Irish sainthood. So, their songs fit for drinkin’—“The Rocky Road to Dublin” or “The Raggle Taggle Gypsy”—are all the more poignant. Actually, when you listen to the Young Dubs, every song is fit for drinkin’. Swagger will get the green celebration going. $22 in advance, $25 day of show.
