Native to Austin, Texas, and known for her fiddling skills, Mexican-American Carrie Rodriguez is the daughter of songwriter David Rodriguez. She has received lessons outside the family, though; genre legends Chip Taylor and Lucinda Williams have both mentored the young Rodriguez. Sweet, yet sassy, her music marries country, blues, rock & roll and hymns. Give Me All You Got, her fifth and latest album, is autobiographical, with stories of failed relationships, letting go and family—a vast range of emotional territory. Jeff Crosby is also on the bill.
