In December, local roots-rock band The North Valley celebrated one fine year of making music together. The quintet released The Bad Habits EP in March, maintained steady gigs throughout Utah, and topped it all off with a stint as November’s artist of the month for KCPW’s Sounds From the Lounge, where they recorded several in-studio tracks, including Southern-tinged songs like “Riverside,” “Rock & Roll Mama” and “Drink Alone.” The Weekenders and Holy Water Buffalo round out the stellar local rock & roll lineup.
