One of the original members of A-Trak’s label, Fool’s Gold Records, Sammy Bananas is a familiar name among disco and house fans. Like A-Trak, Bananas began his career as a vinyl-spinning hip-hop DJ and has successfully harnessed that musical background to become an influential EDM producer. The Brooklyn native ditches trendy production tricks and composes infectious dance tracks laced with a heavy dose of nostalgia—more than likely you’ll hear your favorite ’90s R&B sample embedded in one of his squeaky-clean house tracks.
